Sturdy and Beautiful

This door is exactly what I was looking for. My contractor picked up the box, took it to his house to assemble and paint, and then brought it back to install. Getting the door exactly flush with the door facing is tricky; it took him about 5-6 hours to install it. At first we had a header board mounted, but it created a gap where you could see into the bathroom. Now it's super close to the door facing and the problem I have is finding a lock solution. Any hardware mounted on the door hits the wood. It's not a deal breaker; obviously the room is occupied if the door is closed. Also, we had a problem with dampness in that bathroom because people would close the door; it juts out into the room. It's a bad place for a traditional door. Now that the door is open when not in use, the problem is solved and there's no door protruding into the walk area. IF you have an awkward doorway where the door is just in the way when opened, consider this sliding barn door. I'm about to purchase another for the bedroom near this bathroom. I also think it's a sleek modern/industrial type look, very aesthetically pleasing. A great way to transform a room.
