I am surprised and disappointed that these wonderful looking coasters with well finished treads on the cork bottom DO NOT absorb moisture as hoped. Initially yes, they work well. If you use them daily like we do, you might want to consider a different product for better absorption. It only took about a month for the absorption rate of these beautiful coasters to slow down. Now, after having an iced drink while using this coaster, I have to put it on the "dry side" and grab another one. Otherwise you pick up your glass, the stand sticks to it and then falls off when you try to get your glass to you. The thing is, they were bought for what they could do, and they don't. However, the patterns available are attractive.
