The product itself is great. My original purchase was defective and the seller immediately sent a replacement. I've been riding it on my bike for about a year with no issues including bumpy dirt roads. There are some velcro straps to reduce bike sway by securing the front wheel to the bottom of the trunk. Works great! The tether lock that secures the bike to the rack got stuck in the locked position, so I had to cut the tether to take the bike off. I went through all of Thule's customer service channels only to speak to one rude guy who was clearly having a bad day. They couldn't replace the lock or cradle but gave me a coupon to buy another cradle. I understand the reasoning but the rude attitude was really annoying - deducting a star. I need a chain lock to secure my bike to the luggage rack when not in use.
