Not designed for women's bikes, otherwise great.

I have a 2006 Honda CRV and it fits perfectly! designed so well that even a novice like me could install it. The hardest part was lifting the spare due to its weight. In retrospect, probably a two-person job for the ladies. Securely holds a bike or two, including women's bikes, which it's not designed for. Maneuvering a women's bike on a rack is a little tricky, but once it's there, it's safe. Thule makes an adapter (for women's bikes) but it doesn't work with any of mine. This strut does notโ€ฆ

Amazing quality

I was torn between a Yakima and a Thule bike rack to fit the back of my Jeep Wrangler. I chose Thule and overall I'm happy with it. The bike stands securely and doesn't wobble, but the overall quality is underwhelming given the name. The instructions were wrong for my tire size, the plug that the safety lock fits in couldn't be unscrewed so I had to pry it off and scratch the grip. Once the lock insert has been installed, the key cannot be removed when the car is unlocked. Do I have a feelingโ€ฆ

This is the one you want!

Love is a Stand I almost bought the cheaper version to save money but went with the more reliable name. Glad you did! It is always safe to go for quality. The stand feels solid and you can tell it's well made. Installation is easy and can be adjusted to fit a variety of vehicles and tire sizes. I drive a JK Jeep Wrangler with oversized tires and had no problem setting it up. I like the locking handle so no one can come and shovel it. I also fell in love with the integrated bike cable lock thatโ€ฆ

Great product - poor Thule support

The product itself is great. My original purchase was defective and the seller immediately sent a replacement. I've been riding it on my bike for about a year with no issues including bumpy dirt roads. There are some velcro straps to reduce bike sway by securing the front wheel to the bottom of the trunk. Works great! The tether lock that secures the bike to the rack got stuck in the locked position, so I had to cut the tether to take the bike off. I went through all of Thule's customer service

Great bike rack.

Bike rack works great on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler JKU. I leave the mount attached all the time so the wheel doesn't have to be removed, but I remove the stand when not in use. However, if desired, it can remain on all the time. This conveniently keeps two mountain bikes off my hitch while I tow. And I've opened and closed the gate while it's attached - just carefully. The trunk is very solid and I like the locks that keep the trunk and bikes out of the car without a fight. has a different shapeโ€ฆ

Works but makes me nervous

Looks good overall but has a few flaws. It took a drill and pliers to get the plug out of the handle to insert the lock (the flat head plastic snapped off and snapped instantly). The setup instructions are pretty useless - you could really use a YouTube video tutorial. There's also a strap underneath which doesn't appear in any of the pictures - it's meant to wrap around the back of the tire and is a really annoying extra step (although it does add some extra stability). but there are a few things I don't like at first glance

I want to give this rack a 5 but there are a few things I don't like at first glance. The rack was sent in factory packaging, which was sufficient. Everything was packed in bags, no parts were missing. I installed it on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Installation was quite easy and took about 30-45 minutes. The spare wheel is removed and a plate with a hitch is placed on the three mounting lugs. Then I put the replacement part back on and tightened it. However, due to the thickness of the plate, theโ€ฆ

Sturdy, well-made bike carrier for cars with rear-mounted spare wheels.

I have had Thule trunks in the past and they have proven to be very well made, durable and functional so compared to other cheaper products I ordered this unit with no problems as I really believe that saying. that everyone gets what they pay for. I installed this rack on the back of a 2005 Jeep Wrangler and the installation was easy and the instructions are pretty good. Appropriate hardware is included to adjust the width of the various spare tires, but you will likely need two or moreโ€ฆ
