My Nikon D7100 with 40-180mm lens which took great pictures. When focusing on an object or person, the lens's field of view captures most of the object (depending on proximity and magnification). However, I wanted a lens that would focus closer at a distance. This lens is perfect for that. I'm new to photography so I'm still trying to figure out what my camera can do. Therefore, some shots taken with the included lens need a bit of editing at the camera shop. With the new lens, the images are very clear. Sharper than the images I get with the lens that came with the camera. By the way, the autofocus works very well. Conclusion: Great lens, great price. You will be satisfied.
