Review on πŸ”Š Flowmaster 942453 2.25In/Out 50 Series Df Muffler – Enhanced Performance & Sound Control by Howie Broyles

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Loud whistles Less pedal

The 50 series produces a significant amount of base from the rear of my non-turbo 2 liter Lancer. Each increase in speed creates a note. And of course, the higher the revs, the more aggressive the roar gets. The noise is less than moderate in the driver's seat with all windows. However, the base makes itself felt. Reaching freeway speeds seems less difficult, but I won't claim a significant increase in acceleration. At stable speeds, the 50 series runs as quietly as possible. Most commuters don't invest a few hundred dollars in a louder exhaust. As a former owner of a '96 Corolla with horrific exhaust leaks, I admit that buying a new muffler for a late model car is a backward move. On the other hand, the cost of this product is less than the average cost of resurfacing brake pads and discs (at my dealership). The workshop that did the welding also made me a very reasonable offer. If, like me, you're starting to get a taste for car modifications and are considering upgrading your muffler, you should first remove the original muffler (assuming the muffler was bolted to flange). Start the car, but only for a short time. Use this as your control and search Youtube for sound clips. I need an offset/offset pattern identical to my stock muffler. I'm not sure if this reduced the complexity of the welding, but my original hangers have survived and stood the test. This rating has been modified slightly with the average consumer in mind. The engine speed details were removed because I didn't want as much power as I wanted to hear a rich and moderate exhaust note. A few days have passed since the welding and I am happy with the new screen. My love for my Lancer has definitely increased, but not by much. I highly recommend late Lancer owners to check out the moderate sounding Flowmaster mufflers. Personally, any 2 or 3 liter engine will produce the same exhaust note as a 50's. Just don't expect increased engine noise. This is the result of another mod.
