This is a thin piece of aluminum with a Teflon coating. It's not as thick as the skillet he replaced. I would not recommend this pan to others. I bought these to replace a skillet we bought at Macy's about 8-10 years ago. I would return it for a refund but we need a frying pan to make pancakes and like the rest of the country we are in lockdown. In terms of value, like anything else, what matters is not what you spend, but how much value you get out of something. I doubt I'll have this thing within a year. As soon as I get to the store and find a suitable replacement, I will. Our hands are strong, that's all I can say. After repeated use, there are already traces of burns on the underside.
