My house was built in 1968 and is a block of concrete with windows and doors, so WiFi doesn't reach very far in my house. My internet goes through the front bedroom and it's impossible to get a signal in the back and opposite corner of the house. It's impossible to run network cabling without thousands of dollars of modifications, so I bought a Netgear product that used existing electrical wiring to carry the signal into my Florida room, which is also my entertainment room. They worked, but every hour they lost connection once or twice for a few seconds, so I decided to try the TP-Link AV1000 Powerline Starter Kit that comes with my TP-Link router, which I recently installed bought. Setup was easy and I didn't have to pair any devices. I just plugged them in and connected them. Then connected to the router and DONE! Solid green and my tablet and TV were connected. After 6 hours of testing, it worked 100% with no disconnects. On my modem I get about 70-100 Mbit/s download and 11-15 Mbit/s download on average. In my room in Florida I'm downloading about 50-60 Mbps. Considering the signal goes through 52 years of cabling, that seems impressive. I will continue to test and track and release any updates as needed. Otherwise I'm very happy now!
