I expected a lot from this product as it promises "up to 1000 Mbps transfer speed". Bought to replace my existing wi-fi that connects my house and detached garage. My existing WiFi bridge can already reach 120 Mbit/s file copy speed. Since this product claims "1000 Mbps", I decided to upgrade. The result is very disappointing - only about 8 Mbit/s is achieved. Since there is some distance between my house and the garage, it would be unfair to blame the product. It just doesn't help in my case…

Worked great for my network situation!

My house was built in 1968 and is a concrete block with windows and doors, so Wi-Fi doesn't reach very far in my house. My internet goes through the front bedroom and it's impossible to get a signal in the back and opposite corner of the house. It's impossible to run network cabling without thousands of dollars of modifications, so I bought a Netgear product that used existing electrical wiring to carry the signal into my Florida room, which is also my entertainment room. They were working, but

far superior to the AV600 but no gigabit speeds

They use the homeplug AV2 standard while the AV600 uses the homeplug AV standard. The newer Standard had different frequencies and improved noise cancellation, which made a big difference in my noisy home. I installed a camera where I can't easily get a network cable. I've tried Wi-Fi connections, but they're not reliable enough for a security camera. Knowing that I only need about 2Mbps for HD video, I took the cheaper route and ordered the AV600 as 100Mbps is more than I need. Unfortunately…

Better results expected

I have a gigabit fiber connection in my apartment. Wanted to connect my PS5 to a more reliable connection but am disappointed. First, the Mac Utilities app doesn't work at all. It asks for a password to make some changes and disappears. I checked their forums and this issue hasn't been resolved for over a year. Many Mac users face the same problem. So the Windows application shows that I have a 400 Mbps connection. But when I test it with Speedtest, it shows 70Mbps/20Mbps. I have tried many…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Updates

If you need basic internet needs and the WiFi is not working due to walls, floors and other things, just buy this and you're done! That works well enough. However, if you're looking for HIGH-SPEED data throughput and need to use any outlet connected to a GFCI-protected line, get Wi-Fi instead - it won't help. Here are some real numbers: I'm paying for a 100Mbps download/20Mbps upload. On my Wi-Fi system with a $400 Orbi mesh router 8ft from the router, my laptop gets 90Mbps download / 20Mbps…

slower than WiFi for me

This product did not work in my situation. My house is built in such a way that it is impossible for my upstairs office to run an ethernet cable from my basement where my network and internet connection is located without a major overhaul. I knew this product would work best with the same circuit, but I took a chance and it didn't work for me. This is a well made quality product. I was excited when the block above connected to the block below. I was able to access the public folders on my…

Awful just awful

Tested under gigabit fiber internet with a speed limit of 15 up and 15 down so it wasn't acceptable I thought it might be my home setup maybe something is interfering as you might imagine ? Well I've unplugged everything else that could be plugged into the same circuit to test exactly this and no change, tried different outlets and even asked a friend if he would let me test it at his house as they have a newer design i assumed it would nail it once and for all if it was a wiring issue but no…
