This product did not work in my situation. My house is built in such a way that it is impossible for my upstairs office to run an ethernet cable from my basement where my network and internet connection is located without a major overhaul. I knew this product would work best with the same circuit, but I took a chance and it didn't work for me. This is a well made quality product. I was excited when the block above connected to the block below. I was able to access the public folders on my servers without any problems. I was able to browse the web normally, albeit with lag and some sluggishness. I got about 300 KB/sec when transferring files. The speed test confirmed that I'm getting about 2 Mbps internet. In comparison, I got the full 100 Mbps internet bandwidth over 802.11ac Wi-Fi. If you put them on the same circuit on the same circuit breaker, they'll probably work as advertised. In my situation, I'm better off using Wi-Fi.
