Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Waterproof Grout Pen Light Grey Tile Paint Marker: Tile Grout Colorant & Sealer Pen - Light Grey, Narrow 5mm Tip (7mL) by Tim Crowder

Effective, easy-to-use grout paint

This grout paint has worked extremely well for my purpose. I had a newer grout where the sealant didn't hold up and got dirty pretty quickly. This pin worked quickly and efficiently to repair our entire kitchen floor. The narrow grip was perfect for the 1/8" grout and I have no issues with poor tip wear; This may be because our grout wasn't sanded, so the handle slid easily over it. Based on the feedback, I decided to wipe thoroughly. Once I was done with the line, the leftover paint was removed with a paper towel, easily removing the product residue, but I had to be careful not to disturb the painted grout line using this method. Our tiles are smooth as glass. and shiny, which also made the task easier. I also got the manufacturer's instructions out of the pen, but we had the thinnest unpolished joint compound possible. The light gray definitely had a bluish tint compared to the original light cement grout, but despite that it still matched the flooring quite well, it could look odd when paired with warm toned tiles that don't have cold tones, points for the lack of fumes and the ease of application of the primer and the fairly easy distribution. .Too early to tell how well it will hold up, but so far so good and I will definitely use it again if the need arises.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • So far, so good
