I was more than happy with the Yoniko T-Slot. I was pleased! Continue reading my observations. I used a Yoniko T-Slot bit to create a 2 foot melamine chipboard fence for the router table. I used the bit in a 3.25 HP router. with a 1/4" to 1/2" adapter and set at medium speed. The slots should hold a 5/16" T-bolt. PRE-GROOVING IS NOT REQUIRED: I've read that before using a T-slot it's recommended that you first cut a 5/16 nut with another drill bit. I have used a T-slot bit with no pre-slots and the bit severely cut through the entire length of the chipboard fence. This is a huge time saver as you don't have to do two separate steps.- GOOD CLEAN CUT: The cut was nice and clean.Even the Edges of the melamine were clean and precise with no chips See attached image -- T-BOLT GREAT!: 5/16 T-Bolts fit perfectly into the slots, slide back and forth easily and tighten the stop securely -- NO BURNING: The drill bit cuts without burning or even odor from frictional heat.
