Review on ⚡️ NGK (57020) RC-VWC034 High-Performance Spark Plug Wire Set by Dustin Barry

Break too early

After only 1.5 years and 10,000 miles I removed these wires to replace the coil. As another reviewer reported, the rubber grommets on the outside of the ports were tattered and discolored after this brief use. It looked like they were already broken. When I also looked at the connectors, at the metal that connects to the spark plug, I was shocked at how corroded they were. The attached picture (difficult to focus unfortunately) shows an NGK spark plug on the left and one of the original spark plug wires on the right, which was replaced after 120,000 miles. Luckily I kept those original wires because when I put everything back together after several attempts (probably due to a deformed grommet) I was unable to properly install wire #5. The result is constant misfires. I ended up having to install the original cable on cylinder 5 and this solved the misfire problem. Not sure if my initial ignition problem was 100% coil related - I now suspect the wires are partly to blame.
