A complete disaster, the product definitely did not pass the quality check!!!
You can rest assured that even a basic appliance like a kettle from the SMEG brand will perform to your expectations. Upon first use, the kettle's lid did not open smoothly, necessitating a hefty push on the button. Swapped out for a new one. On day one, the second kettle developed a leak beneath the water gauge. I'm giving it back and never buying SMEG again. It's incredible that you can make a profit off of such a low-quality item.
