Review on Gabriel 81744 Heavy Shock Absorber by David Maxwell

I know most mechanics want to promote the Gabriel brand and I understand why. I have a 2003 e350 van and the shock absorbers barely absorb the shock. I have replaced front and rear with Gabriel shocks and the odd quality is much better. I used to drive into a bump and my van with this noise and an empty can rumbled and the noise continued for a while before finally stopping. After the dampers were installed, every hit was smoother and there was no more noise, very happy with it. The only issue I had was having to replace my shocks with a Dorman 31001 subpack. I didn't need the extra piece of rubber that they are built into, they are built into this product. After that she was tight.
