This is a large high capacity siphon with a long (10ft) high volume hose that allows for quick and easy priming. A directional hand pump with built-in set point makes pumping liquid easy (but like any siphon, it only works well when you're going from a high tank to a low tank, so gravity is on your side to keep the flow going once you're done with a start pump). It's good to have a pump so you don't have to suck up the hose to get the fluid flowing (which always seems a bit patchy with petrol/diesel). Another nice touch is the non-return valve, which allows better control over stopping the flow when you're done (assuming you're not pumping all of the liquid out of the source), so there's less chance of a mess or spillage. GOOD: * Long 10 foot pipe. gives you many options and flexibility * see-through hose so you can see liquid flow * directional hand pump with control valve to start liquid flow * check valve to stop liquid flow when you're done (e.g. your target tank is filling up) * the high Capacity tubing allows liquid to flow quickly, saving time when moving a large volume BUT NOTE: * This is still a siphon for transferring liquid from a higher tank to a lower tank. It's not designed to pump liquid to a higher reservoir, which would require a continuous pump (well maybe it can be done for a small amount of liquid, but that's not what it's designed for and would require a lot of effort).
