Review on 🗑️ NINESTARS DZT-50-9 13 Gallon 50L Stainless Steel Base Automatic Touchless Infrared Motion Sensor Trash Can (Oval, Silver/Black Lid) by Aaron Kindler

This was our second (and last). Both were fantastic and easy to use when we first bought them, hence the high reviews initially. However, both equally failed in less than a year due to poor design. The batteries are on the underside of the lid with a cheap battery cover. If this cover fails, the cover and batteries go into the trash. We noticed this the first time and fished the batteries out of the trash, but the battery cover was damaged and we couldn't reuse it (we tried to fix it with tape and other means, but they kept falling out). We switched to another Ninestars and thought the retirement was an accident. The second failed the same way less than a year later, only this time we didn't notice when they fell. We only noticed after we had already taken out the garbage. The sensor worked great and the lid worked as intended, but the cheap battery cover and poor design with batteries over the junk make this a very poor product.
