I use cotton yarn.

This is my go-to choice when I need cotton yarn for crocheting. They come in many colors, but these yarns have become increasingly difficult to find lately. I love that it's mercerized cotton and has a smooth crochet which means it won't stick to my hands while I'm working. If you need cotton yarn and haven't tried this yet, I highly recommend it.
