The case first arrived dented and the box had holes because it was shipped without a gasket. There was no documentation inside and parts were scattered everywhere. Due to the many nooks and crannies inside, it took several days before I could even find the keys wedged between pieces of sheet metal. Once I figured out the details, installing the closet was pretty easy. . Luckily I've worked with a lot of 19" rack cabinets before so I didn't need a guide as if there were any. how you want to mount it. There are also mounting holes so you can mount the cabinet directly on the wall. I just stand on a table, although the material that makes up the rack is pretty flimsy compared to any other cabinet I've worked out of before. I suspect this is done not only to reduce manufacturing costs, but also to reduce shipping costs. The metal is thick enough for light commercial use, but definitely doesn't meet the specs for industrial use. Use in military or critical infrastructure. The cabinet features side panels that allow you to access your devices from the left or right side. To install your devices, you must access through the front of the cabinet, which has a tinted glass door. I Shocked that the glass door honestly survived the delivery process as the outside was quite badly dented. A nice feature of this cabinet is that the entire rack slides forward, so you can slide everything forward at once. This part is pretty well thought out and designed. There are openings at both the bottom and top that allow the fan(s) to be installed so that the air circulates from top to bottom or vice versa. The case has many gaps and holes, so the airflow is unfortunately anything but optimal. First, I installed a rack-mount power strip, a voltage regulator, a gigabyte ethernet switch, and a 2U server. There's still plenty of room. Overall this is a perfect cabinet for my own home use. However, it doesn't really fit into business-critical IT applications in terms of build quality. I'm used to working with shelves that weigh hundreds of pounds and which, if dropped onto the sidewalk, will damage the concrete more than the cabinet itself. The fact that the cabinet arrived dented after being shipped through the post is is Proof enough that it should be much more durable. this is a slightly different model. It's still 9U. It still has a glass front. However, the side panels are held in place by a large external latch rather than a small recessed latch. It's also a few inches lower, but not as wide as the previous one. This time they made a BIT better packaging and no damage is immediately visible. However, it has the same problem with parts scattered inside the case. Someone from QA actually fell asleep while turning this product on. It is packaged so poorly it's a wonder the item arrived safe and sound. Literally the WORST electronics packaging job I've ever seen in my life. By the way, like the previous one, this one also arrived without documentation. No guarantee. Nothing. Just a few unnecessary parts in there.
