Review on Estwing Ultra Hammer Reduction EB 19SM by Wayde Lash

Estwing means durability

I'm a big fan of Estwing hammers. This is a new style of big and light hammer that is all the rage right now. After years of using the classic (blue) all-steel Estwing, this style takes a little getting used to. It is ideal for framing and driving in studs. The grip is what I've come to expect from an Estwing and it's my favorite hammer grip. The side puller and nail set are amazingly effective and useful. The only downside is the shorter distance from the shaft to the face. This comes into play with sheet metal or siding where my knuckles almost touch the work on impact. I don't think there's a risk of injury, it's just a little weird swinging the hammer like that. For such tasks I use the classic Estwing.

Pros
  • VERSATILE RIP CLAW - Used for pulling nails, breaking boards, demolition work, chopping wood and more
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
