Piggy with Lipstick

Great looking. Like a straight claw. However, the side puller is annoying. The gut is not wide enough for large nails. Also, because of the way it's positioned, there isn't much leverage to pull the nails out. Don't like blister grip. There is a wide spot in the middle of the handle that makes it uncomfortable. For the most part, this is a great looking hammer with only a few design flaws. On the plus side, it hammers nails well. Hammers nails like a standard 22oz or 24oz hammer

Pros
  • FORGED IN ONE PIECE - The strongest and most durable percussion instrument on the market
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

One word - GREAT! for hammers

Estwing exceeded my wildest expectations. I first saw this blue hammer at Home Depot, but I didn't like it. I liked the feel of the grip and the solidity of the shaft/head so I bought it as soon as I saw it in black. I use this hammer for anything and everything! I built a garage and hung pictures in it with no problems. I would compare this hammer to a tank because it's impossible to break in your hand! Finally, the fit and finish is clean and tight. This is the Estwing hammer of the new wave…

Pros
  • PATENTED PADDED HANDLE - Comfortable, durable and reduces impact vibration by 70%
Cons
  • Doubtful

Estwing means durability

I'm a big fan of Estwing hammers. This is a new style of big and light hammer that is all the rage right now. After years of using the classic (blue) all-steel Estwing, this style takes a little getting used to. It is ideal for framing and driving in studs. The grip is what I've come to expect from an Estwing and it's my favorite hammer grip. The side puller and nail set are amazingly effective and useful. The only downside is the shorter distance from the shaft to the face. This comes into…

Pros
  • VERSATILE RIP CLAW - Used for pulling nails, breaking boards, demolition work, chopping wood and more
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
