Don't buy this, it will cause you to run the second login.

Big warning for this product. It's not like other modem devices, when you enter an IP address or login URL into the router and are directed to the router settings. No, it forces you to first login to your router and then to a second login system that you must register with NETGEAR in order to login to your modem. This secondary system connects to the internet. This means that if you don't have active internet on the device, you won't be able to access the router settings during setup or during a system crash. I don't understand who developed this, but more often than not someone gets access to a private IP address for their modem to change the WiFi password, forward a port, or provide diagnostic information to their ISP about what is or isn't connected to the modem connected inside. So why this modem has a second login system that requires online access to work is beyond me. In addition, after calling support, I found out that you cannot disable this second login. It's on all the time. And while trying to get information about this router, I got hanged. and never called back. Trying to work with this device at the network level was a ridiculously awkward situation. Skip this device and get the SURFboard instead.
