Nice little sensor

This sensor works with the Alexa app and my Echo Show 10.1", 2nd Gen 2018 (with Zigbee). The Alexa app kept asking me to use the Download Thirdreality app and enable Thirdreality ability which requires linking a Revain account. I didn't want to download either of those. To get around this I finally asked Alexa to discover the devices and she did it. This then allowed me to add the sensor to the alexa procedure product description to indicate that you need to activate an account linking skill so be forewarned i have several 3rd reality lights connected to the echo flex that don't require any additional skills i like to keep things very simple and only work with the Alexa app and my Echo Show. I have other 3rd party devices that work just fine. These However, to get the full functionality of this device (ex. B. battery life, Alexa notifications), the Thirdreality app and skill seem to be required. As for the sensor, it works. However, I do notice a delay between trigger events. In other words, when someone walks by and it starts up, the Alexa Routine begins almost immediately. However, if someone walks by after a few seconds, it won't trigger. There is some downtime, e.g. B. Recovery Times. Reading the Q&A, one answer stated that the reset time is 30 seconds, so I'm assuming it's the device's recovery time before it can boot again. way to my front door. In the Alexa app, the action you need to add is under Messages > Send Announcement. You can enter your message to be announced. This way you can choose to have it promoted on all your devices instead of just one. Note. The sensor is not waterproof or weatherproof. Mine is in a fully secured entrance.
