Beautiful colors! As with any brush pen, a little practice and play before "serious" work definitely helps to get a feel for them. The color saturation depends a lot on how hard you press it, so it's very easy to achieve an ombre effect with a little practice. The hints are extensive, and even with practice, you may find it difficult to write in a confined space or create a tiny font. However, after about 30 minutes of playing with nibs, I was able to get quite a small font (lower case letters about 1/2 inch tall). The tips are very sensitive for easy grip, so your hands won't get tired when you exercise or work for a long time. The colors also go well together. However, the pens are pretty juicy, so again I suggest practicing whatever blending techniques you like until you become comfortable with these pens. I like that the names of the colors are on each pen as I am color blind and rely on knowing the names. I've only had them for a few days but I've been using them for a few hours and the brush tips seem to be holding up well. I don't see any signs of wear, fraying or loss of responsiveness. The only thing I would do differently if I would order again. is to buy a bigger set because I love the colors so much!
