I used this hoise as part of a home made gantry crane to build my gazebo. The highlight was lifting the center ring and two beams with a total weight of over 240 lbs. It performed very well in nearly all cases. My only minor complaint is that the controls and power are on a 6' cord. While the power can be overcome with an extension cord, I had to use a ladder each time I wanted to operate the hoist.
