Review on πŸš€ Impressive Efficiency and Convenience: IOGEAR 2-Port MiniView Micro PS/2 KVM Switch with 2 Cables, GCS62 by Jason Cavett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I want it to work better.

I recently upgraded my monitor to a 23 inch widescreen monitor. Since my current KVM doesn't support my new 1920 x 1080 resolution, I had to buy a new KVM. I saw Iogear here for a pretty low price. walked on and took the plunge. I really wish I hadn't. The Iogear dual port device was easy to connect. Everything seemed to be working fine. Well, maybe for a day or so. Shortly thereafter I noticed small problems. Certain keys on my keyboard either stopped working or pretended to be held down. This led to terrible problems when sending emails. Usually my shift key didn't work until I restarted my computer. will no longer find the 23 inch monitor and will default to "Standard Monitor" instead. That would make my solution look pretty awful. The last straw happened today when I was in Outlook. I'm pressing "Delete" in an email and my keyboard is "holding" the DEL key. As a result, all my emails disappeared. Yes, they are in my Deleted Items folder, but I have about 12,000 emails in my folder and there were special emails in my inbox that I've been storing for about 2 years. It takes some time to select them from the folder. such a pain I'm currently throwing away the Iogear KVM and sticking with just one PC. Maybe something better will come up in time.
