Great! My husband and I have a 12 week old dachshund who has severe separation anxiety. He will not enter the box without a fight. This carrier is a life saver! Not only can I protect him, he also feels safe. Not only does he sleep peacefully when driving, I often notice that he sleeps at home at this hour. At first he was petrified of it and kept barking at it. We started teaching him to treat him when he walked in. Now it suits him 100%. Unlike the box, this carrier is his sanctuary. At first we used a collar clip to keep him in a stable position, but since he's more comfortable in that we don't use it, just leave the main "visors" closed. On cold days I wrap him in his favorite blanket before taking him outside because he freezes easily. I listened to other reviewers and put blankets in to make a "bed" because it's a bit heavy. Despite the disappointment of having to order a replacement because they sent me lens chips. (I don't blame the seller for this mistake) My husband and I love this contraption. He's probably spoiled, but I don't care. It protects him and me on the road. I highly recommend it. I can use this for the rest of my pup's life because he will not grow past 18 pounds. Worth every penny!
