I bought this to store photos, videos and text documents from my laptop with the intention of also using it to transfer those things if I bought a new laptop that I knew about that it would happen soon. So far it has served that purpose very well. Everything loaded quickly (even on my old Windows 7 laptop) and the storage capacity was perfect for me. I think the USB port is a bit big, it feels sticky like it's stuck when I plug it in, but it still works, so I think it's ok. I don't know much about its durability as I only got it a few weeks ago, but it transferred my files to my new laptop with no problem!
