Review on Mueller Salad Spinner and QuickChop Pull Chopper Combo - Vegetable Washing Bowl with ๐Ÿฅ— Anti-Wobble Technology, Lockable Colander Basket and Lid with Pull Cord - Lettuce Washing and Drying Tool by Brandon Hayes

The spinner was great when it worked, but failed when slightly unbalanced.

The salad spinner was great when it worked, it dried our veg pretty quickly. We have recently switched to a healthier diet so we consume it daily. It's a pity, however, that it starts to fail after a few weeks. It's not visibly broken or anything, it spins fine with nothing in it. But when we put something in it, after a few jerks, the inner rotating basket begins to sway uncontrollably and almost flies apart. My theory is that this salad bowl has a design flaw. The interface that holds the rotating bowl in place has a lot of play. As you can see from the picture, the bottom interface between the water bowl and the rotating basket has a lot of space. In addition, the top plate holding the basket is not firmly fixed either. So if there is an imbalance in the basket, the basket has plenty of room to swing. This can probably be fixed with a slight redesign, making the lower interface deeper and more pin-like. Thus, the basket can be limited along the central axis.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Some insects
