Review on Versatile and Sturdy: Performance Tool W54025 Portable Multipurpose Workbench and Vise (200 lbs Capacity) by David Miller

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Anyone expecting a ready-to-use tool will be disappointed.

Arrived with many bent/wrong parts. Luckily the sheet metal parts were thin enough to bend as intended. And I have the tools and the patience. Even if it came undamaged, it takes some time to assemble. You'll notice from the photo I've provided that it's a bit flimsy compared to the WorkMate I've had for 25 years. The cosmetically veneered vise/table top on mine had some gouges and scuffs, so I don't expect it to hold up that well. The height difference is enough that I may have had to move the sliding half of the table top. I'm planning to buy another WorkMate because it's not what I'm hoping for. But remember you only paid $39 so you could get $39 of it.

Pros
  • One hand clamping system allows independent jaw adjustment
Cons
  • Line is shorter than other picks
