Review on PerTronix 40001 Flame-Thrower High-Performance 40,000V 1.5Ω Ignition Coil by Charles Lewellen

I'm cautious with my rating here as my first Pertronix coil - this particular model - failed. The error occurred on a Pertronix installation on a bone machine in a 1958 Ford; It took me ages to trace it back to the coil, but a quick swap with a stock Ford unit showed that the Pertronix actually worked intermittently and then stopped working altogether. I guess it was once in a lifetime so I bought another of these spools to replace the original spool. I love getting away from the old scoring system while still keeping the standard look under the hood.
