2 died in 9 months- Be prepared to send lots of irrelevant pics

So after 30 days my first IP broke and Revain traded it for me. Now, 8 months later, same problem. I turned on the pot for a pressure rice cycle, it started fine and came back after 20 minutes and the LCD didn't work. I checked both ends of the plug and explained this when I sent the ticket with the receipt to the IP and got a response 4 days later: If the power cord is detachable, make sure it's firmly plugged into the Instant Pot and outlet is plugged in. To troubleshoot your kettle, please answer the following questions: - Did anything unusual happen the last time you used your Instant Pot? Also send us the following: - A picture showing both the Instant Pot connected and the LCD screen - A picture of the heating element (with the inner pot removed). An image of an upside down inner pot with a flat object (e.g. a ruler) on it. Place the inner pot upside down on the surface and turn it over. it is 360 degrees. Make sure the rim of the inner pot is flush with the surface - picture of small dents or warps on the bottom of your inner pot Thank you, we look forward to hearing from you. So, standard email and didn't read my ticket at all, great. When I asked why they needed some photos of the internal tank, they simply replied that it was necessary to make a claim. I understand people scam companies about warranty returns all the time, but I still found it too much because it has nothing to do with the inner pot. If there's a connection between a bad electronics pad and a dent in the inner pot, then be prepared to explain it or they'll just harass me and try to circumvent the warranty in my book. Considering this is the second return I'm making, I'm a little disgruntled and unimpressed with the build quality, electronically at least. This is a useful and great product when it works but I won't be sticking with them if this continues. I use the pot frequently, but not every day, and expect it to last at least a few years, especially considering it's one of the most expensive pressure cookers on the market. Pressure cooker and I can go somewhere else. I have a larger Mealthy that I also love and it works perfectly, so I might buy another one. Really expected better customer service, or at least meaningful service. Update: They sent me a new IP address and in doing so I realized that all you need is a new fuse with a temperature of 167C versus a fuse that reads 142C. The pit overheats and the fuse will not reset and must be replaced. Took 15 minutes to fix and a special asterisk screwdriver (a real asterisk, not a phillips, but you need a phillips too). The fuses were $6 on Revain and I had no issues with the IP which I fixed. It's been over a year since my review and I use IP all the time.
