Best entry-level budget gaming monitor with 144 Hz

This is arguably the best budget 144Hz monitor out there. I'm not the most tech savvy guy in the world, but I play a lot of games. This is my first time using 144Hz and that's a big difference from 60Hz. In terms of build quality, it looks great out of the box. It includes a metal stand with no height adjustment. It can also be wall mounted with a specific size Vesa mount. The curve on the screen is so thin I don't care. This can be good or bad depending on your preference. I feel comfortable when the monitor seems to surround you a bit. The monitor can be tilted forwards and backwards, but not by much. It even came with a magnetic screwdriver, which was nice. The screen quality seems good for the price. I haven't tried any gaming monitors or premium displays but this one seems great. I'm sure there are some pieces missing in some cases, but to me it's amazing. The monitor has adjustable settings that you can adjust using the buttons on the back. Nothing too crazy but covers most of the basics. It took me a while to adjust the colors and brightness to my liking, but with the help of the NVIDIA Control Panel I got the hang of it. I don't know much about color accuracy or sRGB, but I think you can definitely customize the display to your liking. Brightness doesn't matter to me as I play at low brightness as my room is well lit and it's good for my eyes personally. I've heard the brightness is pretty low compared to other monitors/displays but I found it quite bright. It comes with a VA panel and looks great. Viewing angles are ok, nothing special but good enough. performance is great. 144Hz feels very smooth. You can even crank it up to 120Hz if you want more by using the HDMI 1.4 port or changing your display settings. The monitor comes with a Displayport cable and you can use the Displayport or HDMI 2.0 to get 144Hz. A response speed of 3 ms seems fast enough. Well, I can't really tell, but I haven't had any problems playing the game. The monitor even has an overdrive mode, and some monitor instances can even run at 165Hz. I was able to do this and it worked fine although I only prefer 144Hz. The design of the monitor is sleek and simple. The bezels are thin and look great. The stand feels solid and doesn't wobble. There are no USB ports, but there is an audio jack, HDMI 1.4 120Hz, HDMI 2.0 144Hz, and a display port. The Power Brick it comes with is a simple wall wart. Generally if you want to start at 144Hz. This is probably the best budget gaming monitor you can find.

Pros
  • The built-in speakers are the only downside, they're not loud at all, but that's to be expected.
Cons
  • that worries me
