They don't actually work very well. There wasn't good stability and either the rear wheel was too far off the ground or the training wheels were too long. I finally found the best fit they could give, but the rear tire is still not fully on the ground. If the pedals turn too fast, only the wheel turns. Also, training wheels are not great for beginners because they don't provide enough support for a child who is off balance. The bike can easily tip over. This would be good for a child transitioning from training wheels.
