Brandmotion has a great product! The picture quality is excellent, everything works. Too bad there are no installation instructions. The PDF installation guides and videos look great at first glance, but you'll quickly find that something is missing. They will show you drawings of how to route the backup camera wiring harness through the back door. You can actually follow their directions, but you will find that the red cable is too short to follow the route shown. I managed to route the wiring harness through the tailgate a different way and the red wire goes all the way to the right hand taillight wiring harness. They don't give you instructions on where to connect the wires to power the mirror. Once they are on the right side of the dashboard, you are completely free to figure out where to route the cables. I have read this in many other reviews and all the complaints I have read are correct. I decided to route the wire under the rubber grommet between the door and the bottom slot of the windshield frame. When you remove the steel bracket that attaches the windshield to the fender and dash, you can thread the wire through this slot. Then remove the two body self-tapping screws between the hood and windshield on the upper fender. This will allow you to route the wire from the crack in the windshield frame under the body. I then routed the wire to the top of the right fender under the hood in the engine bay. Note: I used a detachable plastic wire from under the body to the engine bay. I routed the entire wiring harness into the fuse box through a small hole I had drilled and cut just below the cover gasket. Inside the fuse box there is space for the components of the built-in wiring harness. I routed a small ground wire back through the same hole and attached it to the thumbscrew. Others say they took the dash apart to connect the cigarette lighter wiring, so there's always that option. choose your fight
