I was skeptical about these brushes but they got such good reviews that I decided to give them a try. As the description says, they remove tangles, not knots. I've noticed people complaining in their reviews that it can't get rid of knots in their hair. Of course not, and they don't claim to be. But VERY well copes with untangling tangles, quickly and painlessly. The bristles aren't spongy or porous, so you don't have to worry about water or hair products absorbing and leaving a residue. You can easily remove hair from the brush and clean the bristles in the sink or shower. This is especially important to me because my old paddle brush had lint and dust on the sponge surface that the bristles were attached to, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't wash, brush, pick up the leftovers. This residue was transferred to my hair when I used the brush and it looked like I had dandruff. This brush works on both wet and dry hair. I am very happy with it.
