Not the best. I thought the coarseness, fineness, or grind setting had some sort of indicator, like a click, to know when it's in the next setting, but what you really have to do is turn until the hole for the material to fall out about there is you want. You also can't do a back-and-forth sanding motion like you can with other sanders. You can only turn in one direction, otherwise nothing will come out after a few turns. The glass part feels thick and strong, but the plastic and metal parts feel pretty damn fragile. Definitely does NOT appear to be dishwasher safe as the description says.
