Review on SAMSUNG SmartThings Hub 3rd Gen GP-U999SJVLGDA - Enhanced Connectivity, White by Loren Jacobson

Purchase of a hub and 2 sensors. The setup was successful and everything worked fine for a day. Then the sensors would disconnect from time to time and I couldn't reconnect them despite following the advice on the site multiple times. I contacted support via email and followed their instructions to disable the hub. While it worked once, it didn't work another time. I also removed the batteries from the sensors (there is no recommendation for this on the website) and it worked at least once. But how am I supposed to do all this when I'm not at home? (You also have to press a button on the sensor with the "standard" reconnect.) The hub also went offline at times, even when it was next to the router. Although it reconnects after about half an hour, the device disconnects with the same issues as above when reconnecting. The support team ("Ryan") was less than helpful. Their only advice was to repeat the website's obvious instructions and turn off the hub. When I asked for clarification they did not respond to my email. It's an attractive system on paper - if it works. But it just didn't work for me. Email customer support was useless. I strongly recommend an alternative system. (Note that this disruption is a common problem in these reviews. Also, at the time of my review, almost 1/3 of the reviews have 1-star ratings. In my experience with Revain reviews, any product with that many 1-star ratings has Reviews SERIOUS problems.)
