Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Holley (12427) Fuel Pump: Reliable Performance for Optimal Fuel Delivery by Adam Price

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It served its purpose but was according to

I used this pump to replace an old secondary pump that failed after 20 years. This pump is located (outside the tank) about midway between the bottom and the center of the tank. It pushes fuel up to about 18 inches and through about 8 feet of fuel line. It easily supplies enough fuel and pressure for a Holley 390 sitting on my inline 6 2.8 liter engine. It's not as quiet as advertised. Actually very loud. I hear the pump when the car is running and when I'm in the driver's seat. It's not a whirring sound that a computer fan makes, it's a clicking/chirping sound that is very annoying. I have a spare pump on the way, another pump identical to the old one, Carter P60430. It will get the job done if you are on a budget or running an open exhaust system at the track. It will not be suitable for a quiet Sunday afternoon excursion.
