I have a 100 gallon aquarium and this is my fourth filter for it. It works great and as long as I find new stuff it will probably be my filter forever. Cleaned a VERY dirty tank in about 48 hours and has kept it clean ever since. I am very happy with this purchase, excellent workmanship. Noise: This is one of the "loudest" filters I've ever had, but you won't notice it during a call or anything. It's just louder and more powerful than others I've tried. Performance: very strong, this is not for a small tank! (unless you have a fast fish)
