Review on Lydsto R1: The Ultimate Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum Cleaner with 🧹 Lidar Navigation and 2700Pa Suction, Perfect for Pet Hair and Carpets (White) by Mark Kolipano

Tried several similar vacuum robots, this one is the best so far. Surprisingly, it's also the cheapest! Other robots I've tried are the Roomba i7 and two other very similar robots (made by the same manufacturer in China) under a different brand name: Honiture and Neabot. All robot vacuum cleaners have claimed that they can create "smart maps" e.g. B. knowing where they are and vacuuming in an orderly pattern rather than randomly. They all also have self-cleaning bins, so you don't have to empty the bin every time you vacuum. Overall, this robot is still a bit rough around the edges. Creating the map (assigning room names to different regions) was a bit tedious and I wish the app would allow me to zoom in to be more accurate. But in almost every other way this vacuum has outperformed all the others and I am very happy with it. Here's how it compares to others: • It has much better navigation than the Roomba i7. I suspect it has to do with its laser sensor, but Roomba often got stuck, didn't know what room it was in, ran out of battery and had to be "rescued". I've never seen Lyds get stuck even when I'm running it when nobody's home, and his ability to follow a wall to the millimeter without touching it is really impressive. • The application has many options. You can choose how often it empties the bin, how powerful the vacuum is (and therefore how loud it is), how often it should vacuum in certain rooms and set up virtual walls, no-go areas, etc. Didn't I didn't need anything I couldn't figure out in the app. • The mopping function is a good function, although it's still not as good as a real human cleaning. Compared to others, the i7 and Neabot didn't have a mopping function at all, and even Honiture only had a "Wet Rag Drag" mode, while Lydsto has a true electronic water pump to evenly disperse and mop water as you move. So I think it's a handy feature. Overall it's like an updated version of the Honiture/Neabot/Kyvol/Proscenic line (all from the same manufacturer). But somehow most of the problems of these robots have been fixed, a few new features have been added and the price has been reduced. Highly recommended!
