These will fit the rear of a 1954 Hudson Hornet with very little modification. should be trimmed slightly, about 1/16 inch on each side. This way you can attach the shock absorber. I smeared some NAPA Sil-Glyde on the rubber and stud to make everything slide easily. After installing the upper, cut the tape and apply it to the lower post with the shock lowered. The bottom part doesn't really need trimming, but I trimmed it the same way as the top, but I could skip the bottom part. The photos show before and after trimming and shock absorbers installed. As there is additional work being done on the car before the drive I will update my thoughts on how they drive... if Revain allows it they have not done it for me in the past.
