Review on πŸš€ Enhanced Performance Volant 727636 Throttle Body Spacer by Vincent Lott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Improved low frequency response. outstanding bang for the buck.

I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding throttle body gaskets and whether they actually do anything or are just hype. I figured for $40 you really can't go wrong and even with a slight improvement I'll be ahead of the game. In short, after the first few discs after installation, I'm very happy with the result. While the Pentastar 3.6 liter VVT is certainly a marvel of modern engineering, it does have its drawbacks, mostly to do with the low torque I think. After installing the TBS the engine doesn't feel as "flabby" as it does at lower rpm and has improved low rpm throttle response in all gears in my humble opinion (my JK is a 6 speed manual). Specific observations: 1) noted that it's easier to get off the ground in 1st and lower rpm (saves traction) 2) shift points at 2000 rpm or below feel smoother and less stuck 3) pulls easier in any gear 4) was able to cruise easily in the 5th at 40mph and got more response in the 6th at 60mph 5) makes a very slight "whoosh" noise but I think it sounds cool if I'm honest. This is an extremely easy install (about 3 minutes). Simply ensure the flat portion of the TBS is mated to the existing throttle body with the supplied gasket, insert the "ribbed" portion into the manifold and use the bolts and washers provided to reinstall. with Rockstars and has the Cat supported CAI and Dynomax banks installed before TBS.

Cons
