1) Unless they invented magnetic aluminium, this rack is steel and not aluminum as described. For me that's actually preferable as I suspect it's stronger and not as heavy. However, I gave them one star for saying it's aluminum as it might be important to others and I have to watch out for rust. 2) The kit was very easy to install even though there were no instructions included. If you need instructions, go to YouTube and look for rack mounting videos. I might even leave the rear seat handles in place. 3) I used it to mount a Givi Monokey case (DLM46a) with a Givi E115F connector kit (about $10). For those interested in mounting the monokey case to this rack, please note that the holes do not line up and you need to mount the rack and case. I have about 1 inch of room to remove the seat with the cover attached. However, everything is done in about an hour's work. The stand seems solid enough that it didn't flex when I loaded it with my 200 pound weight. Overall it appears to be a very solid STEEL stand that is easy to install and with a little craftsmanship and a drill can be used as the base for a Givi Monokey case.Measure seven times, drill once!
