My other teapot had dents, scratches and just looked ugly. So I took these. I like how it sits on a wider stovetop, but then the whole thing doesn't feel as cheap as my old kettle. Its large capacity is practical for our household and it heats up relatively quickly (we have a ceramic hob). The lid is glass so I can look inside without risking vape burns and the handle on the lid is tight (the other wobbled a bit). The handle is plastic but very strong and I love the little mechanism that allows me to open the spout without touching it, again risking steam burns. The whistle is clear and loud to hear throughout the house. It's also easy to clean. I like it
