Prior to this mic I had a more well known brand that several other sellers here at Revain offer. The microphone died too soon, when the battery was first changed. I was looking for another digital microphone and came across this one. I like the feature set, but to be honest I use it most often in "simple digital microphone mode" without using any of the dedicated function keys it has. Turns on when I move the screw, turns off after a few minutes if not in use. Gives me evidence I trust. That's all I want I don't have a primary or secondary standard for checking accuracy, but I don't have any information that would make me doubt it. The old analog dial method of reading micrometers exists, and digital reading improves on it. They use the same batteries as my digital calipers, and having three sets of these batteries means I always have batteries on hand. In this respect, too, they are better than the "S" brand outside micrometer, which failed the first time the battery was changed. I haven't used them long enough to drain the battery so I can't comment on durability other than they appear to be well made, accurate and reliable.
