Good compact best tripod included

Nice, compact and light tripod. If you are traveling or backpacking, this is a great option. It fit in my suitcase with no problems during a recent trip. Well made, feels like it will last a long time. I was able to get some great 30 second night shots with this tripod and the remote shutter release. I would definitely recommend this tripod as a travel/hiking tripod with limited use. As far as small travel tripods go, this is the best I've had. However, I wouldn't use it as a main tripod for everyday use: with my Canon 7D and 24-105 lens, the tripod felt a bit unstable. The legs felt solid (at least the first two sections), but I had a feeling the tripod might tip over. I wouldn't leave the camera on a tripod for any length of time, at least not if I wasn't holding it with one hand. Each leg is fixed at two angles (which is nice). I think part of the problem is that the angles of the legs are too steep in the position you would normally use a tripod. In the down position, the tripod is very stable, but your camera will be much lower than the ground. A few more degrees of tilt (in the up position) would provide a better tripod base. The head can be very loose when the ball adjustment knob is released. My camera wants to tilt when I turn the dial quickly. Tension adjustment for how freely the ball will move is built into the same adjustment knob used to frame your shot. I'm used to having a second cocking knob on my Manfroto. It's not really that important, but it does take longer to prepare the frame. - I don't like the camera release handle. It is smaller than the knob above, but larger than the Pan knob. I've reached for the plate release knob way too many times when trying to turn the pan or ball knob. All three handles are identical in shape but differ slightly in size. It would be much better if they changed the shape or size of the plate holder. It would be really nice if I didn't need a coin or allen wrench to attach the camera plate to my camera. It's okay, but I see no reason for it.
