Much less buffering than Wi-Fi
I have another Fire Stick that I did the same thing with. No matter how strong your WiFi signal is, I've found that the Fire Stick tends to lose connection. It gets very annoying when you're in the middle of a movie. Not only do you avoid the signal loss problem completely, but you also have a lot less buffering since the wired signal is always faster than the old specification (802.11). -n I think) that Fire TV products use. In addition, the long cable greatly facilitates access to the power supply. An affordable upgrade that's worth it.
