Review on πŸ” High-Quality KODAK PETG Filament 1 for Exceptional Additive Manufacturing by Bryan Fields

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Honestly disappointed

It's easy to print compared to all other US brands, but it's just as easy to print all US manufacturers' PETG filament. This is my hometown brand and I honestly expect more. The color is good (shiny), it prints well, but my real problem is the sweater. Petg generally doesn't handle overlap well, but of all the brands I've tested (Esun, Hatchbox, Atomic, mgchemicals, Filamentone, 3D-Fuel, Taulman, Paramount, etc.). Edit: I wanted to add Paramount as well (great petg) and your setup. MK3s with Bontech extruder, 0.6mm nozzle and 0.4mm x. Maker's muze gap sensor result (0.6mm nozzle -> 0.2mm gap, 0.4mm nozzle -> 0.15 gap). The filament drying system shows <20% on all my petg reels. Needless to say I know how to adjust temperature, fan and pseed while printing calibration cubes to fine tune the filament. My 2-star rating is alongside a lengthy email from the seller about fine-tuning the print settings. Also, I would like to add -> Yes, filament SKUs are manufactured differently, but being able to produce a consistently good product is part of having a good overview. When a regular Chinese brand prints better, it's time to check out your PSP.
