I wanted a pro, specific cutting knife for my cooking tool set. It is wonderful. It's beautiful, with a thin blade and a handy black plastic handle. The handle feels nice - not cheap plastic - and holds up well. The blade is well shaped, flexible and is Victorinox branded (Victorinox actually started making knives before the watch and I have an amazing Victorinox watch). This knife cuts meat and fish very, very thin. The shells on the blade are just the right size and indentation. The knife comes well sharpened. I was a professional chef and wanted quality tools. This knife is everything I wanted and hoped to get. In the end I will pass it on to my son as a family heirloom.
